I grew up in Bulawayo with more curiosity than a single path could hold. I studied psychology at the University of Zimbabwe, spent years in democracy, governance and human rights work, earned my MSc in African Studies at Oxford, and now study diplomacy in Dubai. Along the way I built ventures, started shows and sat on boards. Each one is a gift I refuse to leave unused.
Scholarship
Africa, diplomacy and global power
My work sits at the intersection of gender, governance, diplomacy, media and global power, examining how African actors engage with and shape international political and economic systems. I am particularly interested in women’s leadership and representation, global economic governance, and the agency of African states in economic and political negotiations.
My research explores Africa’s relationships with the world, including its diaspora, and how those connections shape debates on development, influence and agency. I want my scholarship to bridge academic inquiry and policy practice.
